Nandishwar Steel is involved in Manufacturing & Exporting of high quality stainless steel 316 sheets, stainless steel 316L plates, stainless steel 316 coils in thickness of 0.3mm to 120mm. that have found extensive applications in various industries. We also deal in Nickel and copper alloy, Stainless & Duplex Steel, Carbon & Alloy Steel, are the materials which are used for designing of stainless steel sheet, plate and coil.
What is SS 316 sheet price per kg?
With the global market becoming increasingly competitive, finding the right price per kg for a SS 316 sheet can be difficult. Typically, SS 316 sheet price per kg ranges between Rs. 240 - Rs.280. However, depending on the supplier and size requirements, the cost could vary drastically. In particular, many suppliers are willing to offer considerable discounts if purchasing in bulk. Therefore, to ensure you get the best rate, it is important to compare prices between multiple suppliers before securing your purchase. Furthermore, because there is a range of grades available - some designed specifically for certain industries or applications - it's essential to pick the most suitable grade as this could further impact its cost per kg.
What is the difference between 316 and 316l stainless steel sheets?
316 and 316l stainless steel sheets are two types of steel used often in the manufacture of medical devices, marine applications and kitchen finishes. 316 stainless steel uses molybdenum as its primary alloying agent, while 316L includes an extra-low carbon content to prevent carbon precipitation. 316L is slightly more ductile than 316 and offers better weldability, whereas 316 is stronger under higher temperatures and pressures. Both 316 and 316l stainless steel sheets provide corrosion resistance due to the presence of a high concentration of chromium, allowing them to be used in highly corrosive environments.

Possible alternative grades to 316 stainless steel |
Grade |
Why it might be chosen instead of 316? |
316Ti |
Better resistance to temperatures of around 600-900°C is needed. |
316N |
Higher strength than standard 316. |
317L |
Higher resistance to chlorides than 316L, but with similar resistance to stress corrosion cracking. |
904L |
Much higher resistance to chlorides at elevated temperatures, with good formability |
2205 |
Much higher resistance to chlorides at elevated temperatures, and higher strength than 316 |
