Hastelloy C22 Rings (UNS N06022) have outstanding resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. Forging should be performed in the range of 1750 Degree F to 2050 Degree F followed by rapid cooling. This Alloy C22 Circle has proven results as filler wire in many applications, as filler wire use when other corrosion resistant wires have failed. Alloy C22 Rings is extremely resistant to corrosion in oxidizing and reducing environments. These are very long lasting and have a very high strength. What is the difference between Hastelloy C22 and C276 circles?

Hastelloy C22 and C276 circles are two of the most popular types of alloy circles used for various applications. Both are made up of a combination of nickel, chromium, iron, and molybdenum, however, these alloys differ in other elements present. Hastelloy C22 circle has enhanced resistance to oxidization, including pitting and crevice corrosion, making it particularly suitable for use at temperatures ranging from 446°C to 870°C. On the other hand, Hastelloy C276 features excellent corrosion resistance even in turbulent conditions or warm chloride environments. Thanks to its high levels of molybdenum and chromium content, this alloy is ideal for more corrosive applications than its counterpart. Ultimately each type can be used in different applications depending on the operating environment they will be subject to.

What are C22 Hastelloy rings?

C22 Hastelloy rings are specialized pieces of hardware designed for exceptionally demanding industrial, marine, and aerospace applications. These rings are comprised mainly of Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum alloy with a low carbon content that provides superior resistance to the corrosive environments often encountered in these uses. As a result, C22 Hastelloy rings can be found in devices ranging from chemical processing equipment to underwater turbines to jet engines in an effort to withstand the extreme heat, pressure, or chemicals they may come into contact with. Their versatility also means they can be cut into any shape or size as needed, allowing them to fit perfectly into any environment and provide maximum levels of protection.
